Designed for the female game. This project focuses on rethinking the football boot around the specific needs of female players. Building on my scientific research into ACL injury prevention, I translated anatomical and biomechanical insights into an integrated product concept. Some of the key design elements include: - Female-specific last: developed around the anatomy of the female foot for an improved fit and better heel lockdown. - Stud configuration: designed to provide traction for acceleration while allowing more controlled rotational movement to reduce excessive ground fixation. - Medial support structure: A medial support element integrated into the sole construction to counteract dynamic knee valgus and improve stability during cutting and landing movements. - Targeted cushioning distribution: Cushioning strategically placed according to female pressure patterns to improve shock absorption, comfort and stability. - Adaptive upper construction: A knitted upper combined with strategically placed 3D-printed TPU elements to enhance ball control, touch and shooting precision while maintaining flexibility. - Integrated knit collar. improving comfort, stability and the connection between foot and boot. Every feature is rooted in biomechanics, injury research and user insights gathered throughout the project.
