More than a swipe

More Than a Swipe rethinks interaction in an age dominated by digital interfaces. Questioning the immediacy of swiping, tapping, and clicking, the project proposes an alternative: interaction is not merely about completing tasks, but about experience gradually formed through body, time, and perception. Transforming overlooked physical details from everyday interfaces, such as scratches, screw holes and braille, into abstract sound sculptures, the work invites audiences to activate sound through sustained pressure, not a single click. Thermochromic pigments reveal traces of touch on silicone surfaces, while sound shifts with changing pressure. The work questions the culture of efficiency-driven interaction, inviting people to rediscover touch, waiting, and bodily engagement.
